Harp in dialogue with Greek Traditional and Rebetiko music: Much-loved traditional folk songs and Rebetika transcribed by Thodoris Matoulas for two harps and voices. The first part of the concert features ten folk songs from different parts of Greece. The second part includes ten rebetika songs from the 1930’s to the 1950’s. The raw, authentic old melodies fuse with the harmonic richness of the classical harp to create a “liturgy”, an effect of almost sacred music. An innovative musical experience, not to be missed!
