Danae Velianiti was born in 1988 and raised in the suburbs of Athens. She began dancing at the Korydallos ballet school at the age of six. She went on the study classical ballet (RAD system & Vaganova), modern dance (Release technique, Limon, Graham) and Rythmn (Orff-Darcoze) at the Greek National Dance School, the Fix dance school of Mihalis Nalbantis in Athens, the Dance School and Art Factory in Peiraeus and at the Royal Academy of Dance in London, from which she received her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies. She received a further certificate as dance teacher in Greece after three years of study in the Superior Professional School of Dance of Haris Mantafounis.

From 2012 to 2019 she attended numerous dance seminars including with the Malta Company under Paris Opera choreographer and dancer Jean Guizerix, a Petipa seminar at the Niarchos Foundation, Body Percussion under Simone Mongelli, Body Theater under Pier Giorgio Milano, Capoeira Brazilian dance at Kerameikos and more. In 2018-19 she presented the solo role of Airesis at the Roes and Olvio theaters in Athens and at the 3rd Dance Festival in Zante.

Danae has participated in numerous dance competitions: First place in the Contemporary Adult Duet competition in the National Contemporary and Modern Dance Championship of Greece in 2012, Second place in Contemporary Adult Solo competition in 2016 in the same championship, and Third place at the Modern Open Class Soloists competition at the International Dance Competition Hellas, 2007.

She has taught dance in Paxos since 2011 and at the Panos Metaxopoulos School in Peristeri, Athens in 2017-19. In 2019 she founded the Eorisis School of Classical and modern Dance in Paxos.
