This is the second performance at Paxos Festival of the popular Greek guitar, tsabouna and toubaki duo Kadinellia.

Thanasis Zikas and Evi Seitanidou met for the first time by chance at the festival of popular guitar in Thessaloniki in 2014. Zikas studied popular Greek music at the Arta branch of the University of Ioannina. Inspired by his father, the songwriter Geoge Zikas, he also composes and makes musical instruments.

Evi Seitanidou grew up in the Western Macedonian town of Verroia in a family of Pontian (Black Sea) origins and studied classical guitar at the Philippos Odeon in Ioannina and Pontian harp at the Cathedral School of Byzantine Music in Thessaloniki.

Their joint musical compositions combine elements from the traditional music of Epirus, the Balkans, American Blues, Gypsy music and Rock, giving their musical creations an experimental and truly global nature. Polyrhythmic structures, a pentatonic scale, exotic sounds create an inebriating atmosphere close to that of an exciting Rock concert.
